moor-ish gate

Moor-ish Gate is an examination of the fabrication process, as all the parts for the project, other than the rivets, were custom built!  Also extensive research was done on traditional islamic patterns which were modified and flatten to an extent in order to work with the design aesthetic, as well as the tools and methods used for the project.

banquet park

The most successful installations allow for interaction. The concept of banquet park is to engage people during the busiest time of day downtown, lunch. The park provides a relaxing place to eat lunch and gather. It is a banquet table divided into seating areas by planters filled with a range of flowers and plants. The flowers add color while providing screening around the park.  Dusty miller, persian shield, scirpus, rockapulco, and a number of different geraniums thrive under constant sunlight and were ideal for the month long installation.
