Having worked on Greek Souvlaki in Lehi, Utah, WOW developed a relationship with the family behind Utah’s classic greek restaurant. The Paulos brothers wanted to create a new restaurant with modern take on the classic greek style that would appeal to a younger generation by provide fresh and healthy greek food. In honor of their father, who founded Greek Souvlaki, they named the restaurant Padelis.
Padelis is a fast casual restaurant making food straight from the streets of Greece, driven by the downtown lunch rush. We wanted to showcased the fact that the food is made right when you order it. All the ingredients and even rotisserie spits are visible to the customer as they walk through the queue. The dining area references the tradition colors of Greece with a twist, using a cream white and electric blue. The use of distressed and gray stained wood creates a weather look for the tables and benches. To give it that street greek feel, one of WOW partners, Ben Wiemeyer a graffiti artist, paint a number of the greek god graphics throughout the space. The space was designed in collaboration with Dinng, a design and branding studio, who designed the menus and graphics for the space.
